Housing from the 1980s and 90s tends to be single or double-storey with a straight staircase and a turn at the landing, and that turn is where wardrobes, bed bases and larger sofas stall. Nearly every home has a double garage, and often a shed as well, holding tools, garden equipment, sporting gear and stored boxes on top of the vehicle. That is consistently the part of an inventory most underestimated, so we ask about the garage and any outdoor storage specifically.

Getting around

Delahey has no railway station of its own, with Watergardens and Keilor Plains the nearest connections and buses serving the estates. For trucks the useful routes are Taylors Road, Kings Road, Melton Highway and the Western Ring Road, giving a direct run east or north outside peak periods.
