Keilor Lodge sits in the City of Brimbank, roughly 20 kilometres north-west of the CBD, beside Taylors Lakes and Keilor Downs on the northern edge of the Brimbank suburbs. It is one of the smaller and newer suburbs in the area — a single residential estate developed largely through the 1990s, made up of brick homes on standard lots with a scattering of townhouses and units.
Getting in and out
The suburb sits between the Calder Freeway and the creek and valley country to the north, which keeps it quiet and also limits the ways in. A truck cannot simply drive through from one side to the other, so the approach and the exit are worth planning before the day, particularly for a larger vehicle. Once inside, the estate roads are modern and wide enough to position a truck without difficulty.
