Niddrie sits in the City of Moonee Valley, roughly 11 kilometres north-west of the CBD, between Essendon, Airport West, Keilor East and Avondale Heights. The original housing is interwar and postwar — solid brick homes on comfortable blocks with wide-ish streets and mature gardens — and over the past two decades a large share of those blocks have taken townhouses and units either behind or in place of the original house.
