What Our Client Says

Removalists in Beaumaris
Beaumaris sits in the City of Bayside, roughly 21 kilometres south-east of the CBD, on the bay between Black Rock, Cheltenham and Mentone. It is distinctive among Melbourne’s bayside suburbs: large blocks, heavy tree cover, winding streets, and a well-known concentration of mid-century modern houses, many of which have now been joined or replaced by substantial contemporary rebuilds.
Driveways, trees and clearance
The access here is unlike the flat, gridded suburbs nearby. Driveways are frequently long, curved, and set among established gardens, and plenty of properties sit above or below street level. Mature trees overhang both the driveways and the streets themselves, which matters for a high truck. Before the day we work out where the vehicle can safely stand, whether it can get up the drive at all, and what the carry distance will be if it cannot — and that goes in the quote rather than becoming an unexpected extra.
Mid-century homes and modern rebuilds
The original houses here were often designed around split levels, sloping sites and wide glazing. That means half-flights of stairs between living areas, garages set well below the main floor, and doorways and turns that need to be measured rather than assumed. The larger rebuilds carry more furniture over more levels. Both are routine, but both change the crew size and the time, which is why we ask about the internal layout when quoting.
No station, so the roads matter
Beaumaris has no railway station; it is served by bus, and almost everyone drives. Balcombe Road, Reserve Road and Beach Road are the main connections, with the Nepean Highway a short run east. Beach Road carries heavy cyclist and recreational traffic on weekend mornings, which is worth factoring into a Saturday move, and the Nepean Highway is slow in both peaks.
Where Beaumaris moves go
Many stay in bayside: Black Rock, Cheltenham, Mentone, Sandringham or Highett. There is also a steady pattern of downsizing out of the large blocks into local townhouses and apartments, and families moving in for the space and the coast. Longer moves further south or interstate need more planning around packing and load order, which we will work through when we quote.
