It sits in steep alpine country beside the river, with houses spread along the valley floor and up the slopes rather than in streets, and Bright the nearest town for services.
Distance is the defining factor
This is one of the longest runs in the state from Melbourne, and it changes everything about how the job is planned. A move to or from the city is a full day on the road each way, which affects the schedule, the crew, the vehicle and the price.
