It is almost entirely residential and comparatively quiet: interwar and postwar houses on regular blocks, wide streets, and a gradual replacement of the older homes with larger rebuilds and townhouse pairs, particularly closer to the river.
Access is generally easy
This is a comfortable suburb for a removalist. Streets take a full-size truck without difficulty, on-street parking is rarely contested, and almost every home has its own driveway with a short, level carry. That makes the day predictable and the quote accurate. The exceptions worth mentioning when you book are the newer dual-occupancy builds, where the rear dwelling can sit well back from the street, and properties on the streets that fall away towards the river, where a sloping driveway changes how a loaded truck can be positioned.
