What we offer
in Parkdale
Apex Moving provides removalist services in Parkdale, a bayside suburb between Mentone and Mordialloc. Most homes have a driveway, but the streets are narrow, the land rises away from the beach, and the two-storey rebuilds that have replaced many originals bring their own stair constraints.

Residential Moves
Household moves across Parkdale, from original postwar homes to large rebuilds, townhouses and units near the station.

Business Relocations
Office, clinic and shopfront relocations around the Como Parade shopping strips.

Specialty Item Transport
Pianos, artwork and other heavy or awkward items moved with the right equipment and enough crew.

Removalists in Parkdale
Parkdale sits in the City of Kingston, roughly 24 kilometres south-east of the CBD, on the bay between Mentone and Mordialloc. The original housing was postwar weatherboard and brick on modest blocks, and a large share of it has been replaced over the past two decades with two-storey rebuilds, townhouse pairs and unit developments closer to the station and the highway.
Narrow streets and the rise from the beach
Almost every house has a driveway, so kerb competition is usually not the issue. Street width is. Many of the residential streets are narrow with cars parked both sides, leaving one working lane, and a large truck is slow to position and slower to reverse out. The land also rises away from the foreshore, so some driveways climb sharply and a few garages sit under the house. We ask about the driveway and the grade when we quote, and where a truck cannot safely get in we shuttle from the street and price the carry in.
Rebuilds, stairs and what fits
The newer two-storey homes have wide entries and then a staircase with a turn at the landing, which is where wardrobes, bed bases and larger sofas stall. The remaining original homes have the opposite profile: easy outside, narrow hallways and tight door openings inside, often needing internal doors off their hinges for a fridge or a three-seater. Either way we measure the awkward items against the route before the day rather than working it out mid-carry.
Parking and the highway
Streets on the beach side of the railway line fill with foreshore parking through summer and on warm weekends, so start times matter more in the warmer months. Nepean Highway runs along the suburb with clearway restrictions through peak periods, so any address fronting it is loaded outside those windows.
Getting around
Parkdale station sits on the Frankston line with the Como Parade shops beside it. For trucks the routes that matter are Nepean Highway, Como Parade, Warrigal Road and Beach Road, with the Mornington Peninsula Freeway a short run east for anything heading out of the area. Beach Road carries heavy cycling traffic on weekend mornings, which is worth allowing for when scheduling.
Where Parkdale moves go
Most stay along the bayside strip: Mentone, Mordialloc, Aspendale, Cheltenham or Beaumaris. There is also a steady pattern of downsizing out of the family homes into local townhouses, and families moving in for the beach, the schools and the train line.
