Removalists in Ringwood North

Ringwood North sits in the City of Maroondah, roughly 25 kilometres east of the CBD, between Ringwood, Warranwood, Croydon and the Warrandyte side of the Yarra. It is one of the greener suburbs in the east: large blocks, established native trees, winding streets and courts following the contours rather than a grid, with original 1960s and 70s homes gradually joined by larger rebuilds.

Slope, driveways and overhanging trees

This is the part of a Ringwood North move that needs real attention. The land is genuinely hilly, and a great many houses sit well above or below the street with driveways that climb or drop steeply, often with a bend and a narrow entry. Add mature trees overhanging the drive and truck height becomes as much of a limit as width. Whether a loaded vehicle can safely get in and back out is worth settling when we quote rather than on the morning, and where it cannot we plan a shuttle from the street with the carry included in the price.

Split-levels, decks and steps

Houses built into the slope are commonly split-level, with half-flights between living areas, garages under the main floor, and external steps or decking on the approach to the front door. Wardrobes, sofas and appliances often need to come apart or take a different route, which changes the crew size rather than the truck. We look at the approach and the internal route together, because on a sloping block they are usually the same problem.

Big blocks, sheds and gardens

Block sizes here mean sheds, workshops, garden machinery, firewood, trailers and outdoor furniture are common, and they routinely add more volume than the house does. This is the part of an inventory most often understated, so we ask about outbuildings, tools and stored items specifically when quoting.

Getting around

Ringwood North has no railway station of its own, with Ringwood and Croydon the nearest connections and buses serving the suburb. For trucks the routes that matter are Maroondah Highway, Warrandyte Road, Oban Road and Wonga Road, with EastLink and the Eastern Freeway giving a direct run across the city. The residential streets themselves are narrow and winding, so a smaller vehicle is often the faster choice even when the load would fit a larger one.

Where Ringwood North moves go

Most stay in the outer east: Ringwood, Warranwood, Croydon, Donvale, Park Orchards or Mitcham. There is also a regular pattern of downsizing off the steep treed blocks into flatter local townhouses, and families moving in for the space and the bushland setting.
